Who are you?

What do you like about yourself?
What makes you happy?
What if this goes wrong?
Why can’t I do this?

If you find yourself asking these questions, this is a sign that you may be in need of some self-evaluation. These are some of the questions I asked myself while searching for “who I was.” Throughout life, I connected with individuals who had self-doubt and believed that they were not worthy of love, happiness, or success. Over the years, I realized that the individuals we connect with are often reflective of an inner self-truth. When I was younger, I struggled to define who I was. Outside of the labels placed on me by society and my immediate surroundings, I wanted to understand who I was. I believe that asking this important question is crucial to curing self-doubt and gaining a deeper understanding of your life’s purpose.

While self-doubt is not categorized as a mental health condition, knowing who you are helps with your emotional well being. Finding yourself is important to learning to love yourself, striving for a better life, and having a more fulfilling career. Finding a greater sense of belonging and acceptance is the key to understanding yourself. Learning to reframe negative thoughts into more positive ones is the first step to a better understanding of “WHO YOU ARE.” For me, now I understand that I am constantly growing and becoming a better person spiritually and personally. I am freeing myself from all doubts and fears. I have learned to accept myself for who I am and create love, acceptance, and confidence in my mind and heart.
