Sis, Forgiveness

Let's put our focus on one thing that can unlock your mental freedom

We can list 20 things that will unlock our mental freedom, but the moment we mention this one thing we cringe. As a matter of fact , we convince ourselves that we're not doing “that” under any circumstances. So, we choose to stay locked up and pretend we are okay. How do I know this is true? Because that was me and I've spoken to many people who feel the exact same way. I have no doub t in my mind that many of you have had to face this before or you are facing this very thing right now... let's talk about the true key to mental freedom.

Forgiveness, however, before we talk about what forgiveness is, let’s talk about what forgiveness is NOT.
Forgiveness is NOT silence
It’s not just for the well-adjusted, happier type of folks
It is not unfathomable, even though is seems like it
It is not weak, foolish, blind, an anomaly or silly submission
It is not automatic
It is not forgetting
Forgiveness is not letting them “off the hook” the saying sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me is not true. Sticks, stones, rocks, violations, breaking of trust, non-protection, molestation, abuse, words, fist, and everything I left out DOES hurt. It is not always easy.

Often forgiveness feels like you are losing; letting someone or something out of their accountability, like you are being used or misused or being too nice. It’s usually the very LAST thing that you want to do. "Heck no", "I'm not the one" etc.

What Forgiveness is:

Forgiveness is a learned act

Forgiveness is taking back control

Forgiveness is the essence of strength

Forgiveness deflects negativity
Forgiveness is deliberate release, or it will metastasize like cancer

Here’s how to forgive and get rid of resentment:

Confront it, Release it, Forgive and Celebrate YOU and heal!!

It’s okay to get help, you are not alone.

Nelson Mandela says, resentment is like drinking poison and then hoping it will kill your enemies.

Forgiveness is for YOU, not them. To not forgive is hurting the hurt, abusing the abused.
Unlock your mental freedom and forgive!
